This semester, we are running campaigns on a lot of big issues. To
solve these problems we’ll be working with students to organize panel
discussions, collect petition signatures, generate calls to
congressmen, and get media coverage.
As classes start we will be
launching our fall campaigns. We need to hear from you to know which
issues we should tackle first. Please take a moment to fill out the form below to let us know which issues you care about most. Make sure to let us know if you are interested in an internship!
Tell Your Senator to Support a Strong Global Warming Bill
The Senate is debating what could be the biggest
environmental legislation of our generation, and we need to make sure they get
it right.
Literally thousands of lobbyists from the oil
and coal industries are talking to them every day, urging them not to act. Your
calls can help show them that the public wants them to stop global warming and
repower our economy with clean energy.
Call your Senators today - it's really easy: 1. The phone number to the switchboard is 202-224-3121. 2. They will connect you to your Senator's office. 3. Leave a
message urging them to support a strong global warming bill. 4. Fill out the form below so we know how many calls are made.
Here's a sample message you can leave: "Hi, my name is _______. I am
calling to urge Senator __________ to support the American Clean Energy and
Securities Act because it will create millions of new jobs and rebuild our
economy.
As a college student, it is my generation that will either see the
effects of climate change or benefit from the solutions. We have the solutions
right now, but we need Senator ______ to support a strong global warming bill
so we can build a clean energy economy. Thank you.”
